HARDY On November 8th 1984, in University Hospital, London, George W. Hardy, went to be with his Lord. He was 74 years of age on May 29th, 1984. He is survived by his wife, the former Verna Moore, three daughters Louise (Mrs. James Stanley) 438 River Road West, RR 2, Wasaga Beach, Mrs. Joan Shaw, 154 Sunset Drive, Apt 304, St. Thomas, Brenda (Mrs. John Stanford), Box 2432, St. Paul, Alberta and Richard Hardy, 550 Norfolk Street North, Simcoe, Ontario and one sister Mrs. Edna Chisholm, RR 2, Strathroy. He and his wife lived 40 years in Strathroy and just this summer moved to St. thomas to 41 Parkside Drive, Apt. 109. He was 40 years a member of Bethel Baptist Church, Strathroy. He had fourteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The body rested at the Denning Funeral Home until Monday November 12th with burial service held at Bethal Baptist Church with Pastor Don Lively and Pastor Phillip Wideman, his new Pastor of The Zion Missionary Church, St. Thomas, assisting. Burial in Mt. Brydges Cemetery. Lunch was served by the Ladies of Bethel Baptist Church.

Beloved husband of Verna (Moore). Dear father of Mrs. James (Louise) Stanley of Wasaga Beach, Joan Shaw of St. Thomas, Richard of Simcoe and Mrs. John (Brenda) Stanford of St. Paul, Alberta. Brother of Mrs. Edna Chisholm of R R 2, Strathroy. Also survived L,by 14 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Denning Bros. Funeral Home, 32 Metcalfe Street West, Strathroy on Saturday, November 10 7-9 p.m. and Sunday, November 11 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Monday, November 12 from the Strathroy Bethel Baptist Church, Princess Street at 1 p.m. with Rev. Don Lively officiating. Interment Mount Brydges Cemetery. Donations to the Ontario Heart Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
